Happy New Year!
We are two weeks into the New Year and we still cannot believe that 2015 is over! Last year was an amazing year for Mothers Helping Others, with the help of our community we were able to do so much for families in need. Reminiscing over the past year makes us very excited for all of the new opportunities that 2016 has. Last year we were able to donate backpacks and shoes to elementary schools in the Los Angeles Unified School Districts. Watching the children receive their new backpacks and shoes is a memory we will never forget. We were also able to host an amazing Holiday Extravaganza for the second year in a row. In order to raise money we asked our community to donate anything they could to help us give a holiday celebration to children and families in need, the result was wonderful and we were thrilled with the generosity of our community. We also participated in free gift wrapping at Barnes & Nobles in Montclair where we raised money for our event. We even started a mental health program in which we offer affordable mental health therapy to children, women, and couples. We love giving back to our community and helping people in need and we cannot wait to help even more people in 2016. We cannot wait to see what is in store for MHO this year and we are eager to take on 2016.
